One Sioux Lookout destination is the crown of
any Lac Seul area trip: English River Falls. It's beautiful, awe-inspiring,
and they've got fish. Smokey took the boys there a few years back and since
then they've been hooked. So have the walleye, a couple bass, and a few
nice horse pike!!! Yarr! I've got a million of 'em.
This year, true to form, Jimmy took the boys to
school at "the English." As Bob and Jeff dallied and sipped above the falls,
James found a pickerel pool which turned angling into fishin' from a barrel.
Hundreds of walleye were caught and released, as well as a few bass and an
alleged hagfish. Catching endless fish gets boring eventually, but it was
quite the scenic climax to a great trip.
